One GPU not working

  • Hi,
I have this rig up and running for a while but I can't seem to get all GPU's running.
When I login I always get this:

    System Info: CPU: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU G3900 @ 2.80GHz [2 Cores @ 2792.647 Mhz] Memory: 8 GB IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Initialized xorg.conf for nVidia GPUs with BOOST

    GPU 06: NVI: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB:

Notice: Detected GPU count is 5 - 5 NEW GPU(s) detected since last boot

Notice how the last GPU has no hash code.

Now when I do a gputool --list the card is there, but it is never used:

Any idea what I am doing wrong? I have tried rebuilding the gputool config file but I think something might be going wrong before that, with initializing the GPU's while the OS is starting.

I have a 1200 Watt power supply and all cards are configured to Pimp gputool defaults. Any hints will be much appreciated.

Hello Erwin. Thanks for your post.

First, you can look in the helpme report to see if there are any errors - but something is definitely happening hardware-wise with that last GPU. Perhaps swap GPU 5 and 6 to see if the problem "moves" with that GPU. If so, double check risers and power connections and/or swap those.

Change 1 thing at a time to narrow down the fault.

Feel free to jump in the discord for real-time assistance.

    Hello Erwin: Any updates?

Closed due to inactivity - likely a power or riser issue (not software related) Thanks!
