Command to turn off LED's on NVIDIA cards!

So my rig is in my bedroom and the fancy NVIDIA cards have bright LED'S that cause a lot of extra light!
Here is the command I use to turn off those LED"s and sleep in the dark!
nvidia-settings --assign GPULogoBrightness=0

GPULogoBrightness can take a value from 0 to 100, this affects the brightness of the backlight. 0 - completely off, 100 - maximum brightness. This also works perfectly.
Yes this will be included in the next pimpup / example startup.sh file.

this has been released at 20171108 pimpup
Updated startup.sh (delivered gently to /root/startup.new to prevent disruption to existing user configurations) to show more examples and allow turning GPU LEDs off on
what about amd strix 580's can I turn the leds of on them?
You could just push the button on the card... But a programatic method is coming!
Thanks but there is no button on the ASUS Radeon Strix RX 480 I can find...
Ah... You said Strix 580's first. The 580's support ASUS's Aura LED lighting, and should have a wee button that lets you pick the color. Press five times and the led's turn off.
I looked and can not find one on it.

Does this work for all Nvidia cards? Doesn't seem to have any affect on mine.
It works on some. Whichever mfgs decided to implement the function.
