Share your RX580 settings and power use!



  • Hey guys.

    Im fairly new to mining and have 2 rigs currently running. And Im really curious to see if I did a good job or not. So I thought it would be interesting to share some numbers to see if we are under/above average.

    So here are my numbers:

  • How make you the custom parameters? With GpuTool or bios flash?

    For the moment my bios are not optimized so I get not your performance.
    I just make a bios flash to update the hasrate from 20Mh/s to 27-29Mh/s

    In your configuration, the memory speed seems to have more influence on the hasrate than the cpu speed.
    My samsung autot config gives

    My Hynix auto config gives
    1 Alive 29.21 Mh/s NA NA 77C 153 (60%) 1366 Mhz 2000 Mhz 105 W

    The custom parameters are from gpu-tool. What I have done is to increase the mem clk until the card crashes then take it back a step. That would give me my highest hashrate. But it will use a lot of power, so then I have reduced the CPU clk speed as far as possible to save power. This will decrease my hash power by a few %
    (around 2-3% if I remember correctly) but save me 20-30% on the power, if not more.

    I haven't had time yet, but as you can see I do it individually on every card.

    Did you flash the BIOS with a modded BIOS or just use the stock BOIS for each card and then play with the frequency limits within GPUTool? Your hash rates are great and the power used is average as if not modded. Can you give us a detailed explanation of exactly what you did to accomplish your numbers?

    And provide a sample of your "gpu-config.json" file?
