Optiminer either no start or no API

  • The pcfg for Optiminer.Equihash appears to have an issue. As shipped, the API= is set as '-m', this causes the start to fail because the API port setting in CLI is -m. Starting from the profile causes '--m' to be passed to the cli, and Optiminer fails with an unknown option, the --m.

If I remove the - from the API=entry, Optiminer starts and exposes the correct port for the API, but pimp and minerfarm don't "see" it and flag the start as a failure.

This is PiMP 4.2.2. I would prefer to us Optiminer as I am getting better hash rates from my AMD cards vs SGMiner and for whatever reason, SGminer seems to start without extranonce enabled even though it is supposed to enable xnsub by default and "extranonce-subscribe" = true is set in the profile...

    Any ideas?
    Bug?

It seems so as I am running optiminer, once I removed the extraneous '-' and the API to it is active -- I can 'find' optiminer on my network from another mining manager app and via http://<pimp rig ip>:api_port.

109 # INTERNAL USE ONLY: modification below here is unadvised
    110 TYPE=GPU
    111 DIR=optiminer-equihash
    112 BINARY=optiminer-equihash
    113 CONF=p1:s,u1:u,l1:p
    114 API=m <<<< THIS!!!

I can also 'bypass' the error by adding -m <api_port> to the flags section and with removal of the '-m' or 'm' in the above section of the .pcfg.

Either version of Optiminer, optiminer.equihash.pcfg or optiminer.zcash.pcfg are affected by this issue.
