Hello friend I did remove that information to protect your privacy. I did not see the pimp zip or img file in that folder.
You would have to find where you downloaded the zip file and go from there.
There was not a Downloads/ dir which is the usual spot. Check your own documentation for how to download and use files on your OS.

  • Hey guys, i get a black screen when attempting to boot into Ubuntu.. what should i do?

    @srvdplas

    Hello srvdplas,

Is this the first time your booting with this image (i.e. new install), if so check uefi is enabled, onboard gpu disabled, and set to pcie from onboard graphics card (settings can be different depending on your motherboard manufacturer and model?), set to Gen 1 or 2, and make sure to hdmi is hooked up to the first pcie slot gpu (pcie slot closest to the cpu).

Also, have you made all the recommended changes to your motherboard bios settings, see article: https://forum.getpimp.org/topic/9/setting-up-motherboards-for-mining

We are on Discord too, if you'd like to chat with us to better help you: https://discordapp.com/invite/grCbFsA

Let us know how you get on.

    Best Louis

For Mac OS users, this post maybe helpful re writing image via terminal using dd, and verifying image written correctly. If you prefer a gui instead then this post lists how to write image using Disk Utility gui: https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/how-to-create-disk-image-on-mac-os-x-with-dd-command/

  • MacOS Catalina user here: perfect install following this procedure:

    unpack
plug in Wavlink USB-C connected cloning dock (SSD in "Target" slot)
Initialise disk when MacOS recognised it was plugged in (disk was already formatted for ubuntu previous install 18.04)
    Start up balenaEtcher imaging tool
drag .img pimp image to the Image side of the balenaEtcher tool
select the SSD, USB-C connected disk
    Click "Image"
    Wait for it to finish
    turn off dock
    unplug SSD
plug SSD into AMD GPU rig
    Startup
connect from iMac via ssh to the rig once started.
paste the key at the prompt
    hit "Enter"
    boom.
