@melt said in Update 20171002:
This is a known bug on AMD rigs, if you have pimpuped to this or 1003 please do not reboot your rig until we have released a new update. If you have rebooted and get any clonezilla or grub error, and you cannot pick the correct PIMP entry from the boot menu anymore, you will have to reimage affected rigs. Apologies for the inconvenience but we are working on it as we speak.
Update: Fixed in 20171004 pimpup
@melt said in Can't install packages on Pimp 1.9:
Thanks a lot for helping out the pimps with the updates, David! We'll be sure to offer this fix in an update soon.
Update: new fglrx image is in beta, with all problems resolved and all updates included. Release expected within 2 weeks.
At last i have pimped my rig....the solution for me was i connected single GPU directly to x16 slot without riser...and connected to monitor using GPU...thats all i did...blank screen went off......thank you all for your support....+=)
Thank you very much, Richard! Glad that those values are looking good for you at the moment.
To look at what you are making you can also go to the pool and put your address in to see earning and payout.
Here is an example of checking at eth.nanopool.org:
At this time no miners are running there but there is a balance. You have to look at the pool information on their site to find out about payouts. Some pools you have to login and use usernames with like Suprnova, you have to schedule or configure the payouts yourself. Here is an example of the cashout settings screen on Suprnova:
I hope this answers your questions about where earnings and payouts go. GREAT question!
As far as the RDP in? I'm not sure, I will have to get some more information on that one. But it should behave the same as a Windows RDP Client. If not, you may have to use SSH. If you would like to try to provide a screenshot that may assist support in getting a better answer.
Happy mining Richard!!
Thanks for posting this here dasgutya!
But.... You don't want to use onboard graphics when you are GPU mining. Disable this in the BIOS and connect your monitor to the FIRST GPU.
Also, here are some other good motherboard BIOS settings while you are in there: https://forum.getpimp.org/topic/9/setting-up-motherboards-for-mining
Thanks for reaching out! Due to issues with both of the DMDE and Win32DiskImager tool, we have looked into the matter and are now using HddRawCopy. This tool can handle both external and internally connected drives. Check out our instructions on writing image to HDD/SSD, and try to reimage again.
Thanks for reaching out. First we would recommend trying to remote login via a SSH login program like PuTTY or MobaXterm. Once you've successfully logged into your rig, copy the key you can find on your [account page](WHAT'S THE LINK FOR THIS???), and paste the key into your rig. This should resolve your issue, but if you continue to have problems, please reach out to support@getpimp.org.
If your system will boot it, you should be fine. Most SATA SSD and HDD seem to work fine with PiMP. You can write the image with USB connector/enclosure/dongle or directly using SATA.
Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like the image file didn't make it to your drive correctly. Check out our instructions on writing image to HDD/SSD, and try to reimage again. If the problem is still there, you may want to try using a different disk.
Thanks for reaching out. Try checking out the sha1sum. Sometimes the fix is to re-write the image to the drive. Check out our instructions on writing image to HDD/SSD, and let us know if you have any follow up questions!
Thanks for reaching out. For this read our overclocking post. There is a new tool that does most of the work for you called gputool, you can learn more about this on our Commands page.
Thanks for reaching out. It looks like you're having issues with setting up the motherboard. We have an entire section in our Getting Started guide that covers the configuration of setting up motherboards. Please review and let us know if that helps!
Thanks for reaching out. It appears that this issue is coming up because your card is not able to handle the DAG that is loaded directly into your card - the ETH algo requires more. Newer cards with more than 2GB should be able to handle this.
Sorry to hear about this! Here are some commands that might be able to solve your problems:
pimp --stop all - Stops all miners
pimpup --auto - Updates software and current miners
rm /root/gpu-config.json && gputool --config - Re-builds the gpu config file with default known-good values
gputool --config - Use this and try applying the gpu settings to the gpu
